HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!
I hope you showed... and
were shown some love today!
Here's an update on the weather...seems I've been obsessing about that lately...
I took some pics this morning before work...they pretty much say it all.
I LOVE SNOW!!...
just in case I haven't made that clear already!
I LOVE SNOW!!...
just in case I haven't made that clear already!
soft and fluffy snow...
It's just beautiful out...
no wind...
quiet...
calm...
That's what's going on outside...
here's whats going inside...
UTTER CHAOS!
My husband has been showing his lovin to me in the dining room...
in the form of crown molding...and wainscoting!
in the form of crown molding...and wainscoting!
So...construction is pretty much done now...
We still need to caulk and paint
and clean...just look as this mess!
Here's a tip...
old vinyl tablecloth's work awesome for drop cloth's! The vinyl (obviously) blocks the paint. the flannel on the back keeps it in place. You can pick them up at yard sale's for virtually nothing...and only 1.00 at the dollar tree...just in case you're interested.
Anyway...here is a pic of the before...
I don't know what I'm keeping...
or what I'm getting rid of.
I don't know what I'm keeping...
or what I'm getting rid of.
I have a few ideas about what I want to do in this room...but no definite plans. Discovering blogs has really done a number on me! I can't seem to make any decisions...basically because where I'm feeling led to go...is pretty much totally different then where I've been. I have never felt so Wishy Washy about anything in my life!
So stay tuned...
I'll keep you posted!
Here are a few inspiration photo's...
...dreaming is free!
Hope to show you a finished dining room soon!
God Bless
Sharon
Love the redo - can't wait to see the finished product! I also LOVE the first "dream" inspiration picture. I would love to have that dining room someday!
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a good Valentine! I can't wait to see your finished room.

Oh what a sweet hubby for doing such a fabulous job on the wainscoting!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, just beautiful work.
What a sweet post.
Love snow, too - now there's two of us at least, haha.
Beautiful snow photos and looks like your "valentine" is really a big help with your inspiration! Thanks for sharing at Potpourri Friday!
ReplyDeleteI am now following via Linky and hope you will too!
Wow, your room is turning out great! What a sweet husband you must have, I think I will ask for something similar to my husband...let's see if he will listen. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm your newest Linky In GCF follower!
ReplyDeleteI love all three choices. I know which ever way you go it's going to be fabulous because you are off to such a great start. Thanks for linking at WIW. Can't wait to see more!

Hi Sharon, I popped over after you commented on my blog :) The snow is beautiful, truly, although currently I'm in Florida escaping NE Indiana February. Sounds like there's been more sunshine up there then down here though *rolling eyes*. Ah well....
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about getting overwhelmed with inspiration...I wrote a post recently about it, and since my whole purpose in blogging is helping folks discover THEIR unique cottage instincts, I hope you'll head over and give it a read. You'll find the link under my banner...it has really helped me define what I LOVE and help me recognize the difference between my 'likes' and 'loves'.
Ps...my first grandchild is due in 10 weeks (a girl) and I can hardly wait! Your grandboys are adorable...
You have a lovely dining room! Cant wait to see your finished room. Btw,
ReplyDeleteI'm new follower on Linky. I'd love if you follow me back :D
